Payment Policy

All prices shown are inclusive of GST in New Zealand dollars and are on a per apartment per night basis. The rates are subject to change without notice until booking is paid in full.

Payment of accommodation is taken at the time of booking via the nominated credit card given. Bookings are not finalised until payment is received from the nominated credit card.

To guarantee bookings 6 nights or less, the applicable nightly tariff is required in full.

For bookings more than 7 nights but less than 14 nights, the applicable weekly tariff (7 nights) is required as a deposit and the balance due on arrival.

For bookings more than 14 nights, the applicable weekly (7 nights) tariff is required as a deposit. The balance of the accommodation fee will be deducted from the credit card nominated for this booking on a weekly basis.

We accept all major credit cards, EFTPOS, bank cheque and cash deposit. A surcharge of 3.5% will apply to American Express card transactions.

Check in is 2pm. Check out is 10am. For late check-outs after 10am is subject to availability, latest check-out time is 12 noon, fees will apply.

Our office hours are between 9.30am - 6.00pm Monday, 9.00am - 6.00pm Tuesday-Friday, 9.30am - 3.00pm Saturday and Closed Sunday and Public Holidays. If you are to arrive outside these hours please advise us. If you would like an early check-in, please book the apartment a day earlier.

All keys and swipe cards must be returned on departure. Lost/replacement keys and swipe tags will be charged at $50 + GST each.

All Southern Cross Serviced Apartments are NON SMOKING. There is a roof deck provided for smoking. $200 will be charged to guests smoking in the apartment.

Photo identification (ID) matching the name of the booking must be presented at time of check-in. This is required in order to verify your identity. A valid driver?s license, proof of age card or a passport are all acceptable forms of ID. The guest who is registered to the apartment must be aged over 18 years.

All visitors are required to vacate the building by 11pm. All visitors must register with reception when entering and exiting the building.

Only the number of people shown on the booking receipt may stay in the apartment over night.

There is a strict NO PARTY POLICY at Southern Cross Serviced Apartments. Any noise complaints may result in the registered guest and and visitors being asked to leave the building. Continued noise complaints may result in the immediate cancellation of the remainder of the booking.

As per building policy, no private businesses can operate from any apartment at any time.

No pets are permitted at Southern Cross Serviced Apartments.

Fire Alarm and Evacuation
Any registered guest or their visitor that causes a false alarm or tamper with a smoke or heat detector or other fire safety equipment resulting in a fire brigade call-out and a building evacuation, will be liable for paying all costs relating to the call-out. The registered guest will also be liable for any collection and recovery fees incurred by the Southern Cross Serviced Apartments.

Services Provided
We service apartments once a week if staying 7 nights or more. Bed linen and towels are laundered and beds are remade. The bathroom is cleaned and the kitchen is given a wipe down. The apartment is vacuumed and floors washed.

All bed linen, bathroom toweling and kitchen tea towels are provided. A complimentary selection of tea, coffee, shampoo and soaps are provided on arrival only.

Rubbish Removal/Cleaning
A rubbish bin is provided in the shared laundry for the removal of rubbish from the apartment. All guests are responsible for the removal of their own rubbish. Extra bags are provided in the apartment rubbish bin.

All guests agree to be responsible for ensuring the apartment is maintained in a clean and tidy condition during the stay and is left in a clean and tidy condition on departure. All kitchen items are to be cleaned prior to departure. If any additional cleaning is required, due to the apartment being left in an unacceptable state, $85 + GST per hour, per cleaner will be charged, plus the cost of any disbursements.

The registered guest will be liable for damages caused by third parties, including but not limited to visiting friends; regardless of whether the registered guest is present or not at the time the damage occurs.

Cancellation Policy

For bookings cancelled up to 10 days before arrival a $200 administration fee will deducted and the balance refunded.

For bookings cancelled less than 10 days from the arrival date there will be no refund.

Once your stay has commenced the deposit paid is non-refundable.

Any breaches of the terms and conditions or any behavior that interferes with the enjoyment of other guests at the Southern Cross Apartments may result in the immediate termination of your booking.


If arriving outside of reception hours please advise at time of booking so we can arrange access to the building for you.
